It occurs when unrepaired DNA damage to skin cells most often caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunshine or tanning beds triggers mutations, or genetic defects, that lead the skin cells to multiply rapidly and form malignant tumours.  Basal-cell skin cancer (BCC), squamous-cell skin cancer (SCC) and melanoma are the common types of skin cancer seen in most of the individuals. Among these three BCC and SCC are commonly known as non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). Thus the non-melanoma skin cancer can be easily cured.

Melanoma

Melanoma is one type of skin Cancer that arises when the melanocytes become cancerous. It is most common type of skin cancer but very serious if avoided. Melanoma, also called malignant melanoma, develops from the pigment-containing cells known as melanocytes. It typically occurs in the skin and rarely in the mouth, intestines, or eye. Individuals with low levels of skin pigment when expose to ultra violet light causes Melanoma. The use of sunscreen and avoiding UV light may prevent melanoma disease to a larger extent. Further treatment removal by surgery.

Substances that come into contact with the skin, such as latex, are also common causes of allergic reactions known as contact dermatitis or eczema. Immunology has applications in numerous disciplines of medicine as in dermatology even whereas Immunohematology studies skin as an organ of immunity in health and disease. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Plastic Surgery basically involves the reconstruction of the human body.Surgery is performed to restore an individual’s body i.e. to improve the functioning of the body parts which covers a wide range of conditions. Reconstructive surgery is performed to restore faces after trauma and to reconstruct the head and neck after cancer. The main objective of a surgery is that the operation attempts to restore the anatomy or the function of the body part to normal. These sorts of surgery are very particular. Plastic surgery is normally performed to treat birth absconds and to expel skin flaws, for example, warts, acne scars, or pigmentations. Corrective surgery techniques are performed to make the patient look more youthful or upgrade his or her appearance in different ways. Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with tumours. A medical expert who practices oncology is an oncologist. Oncologists may isolate on the origin of the sort of action provided to treat the cancer. The development of abnormal skin cell growth is called as Dermatological Oncology also known as skin cancer. Skin cancer has the ability to invade to other parts of the body through blood vessels. It is estimated as 1 in 55 men and 1 in 77 women will undergo melanoma in their life time. The fact is that melanoma is one of the most rapidly increasing forms of human cancer.  It is the beginning stage of skin cancer which looks like a pigment in the body, later developed into a tumour cells. Treatment should be taken on the initial stage to reduce the critical situation. Tumour cells create much damage to the normal cells. It is nice to look for a dermatologist on time. New treatment is slow in developing and the mortality continues to rise.

It starts when cells grow out of control and crowd out normal cells. This makes it hard for the body to work the way it should. Treatment of these skin cancers can be done by chemotheraphy, radiation theraphy, Mohs surgery. Biopsy is the simple procedure for skin cancer Daignosis.

Skin Disease Diagnosis and Treatment

Chronic skin conditions most probably aren’t curable, but they can be managed using drugs and by paying close attention to your lifestyle. Mohs micrographic surgery includes expelling a skin tumor one layer at any given moment and analyzing these layers under a magnifying lens quickly after they are evacuated. This strategy considers a nearby examination of each layer of skin to recognize growth cells. Immunotherapy (additionally called organic treatment or biotherapy) frequently utilizes substances called natural reaction modifiers (BRMs). The body regularly delivers low levels of BRMs because of contamination and sickness. A lot of BRMs can be made in the research facility to treat malignancy, rheumatoid joint inflammation, and different infections.

Dermatology Screening and Prevention

Dermatology screening and treatment has offered promise for earlier detection and higher cure rates.  prevention of cancer and the science of screening appropriate individuals at high-risk of developing Melanoma, is gaining interest. In general, basal cell carcinomas and the most common squamous cell carcinomas are related to chronic sun exposure and are cured by surgical removal. Although melanoma can be successfully cured in its early stages, it is the most common fatal form of skin cancer, accounting for more than 79% of all skin cancer–related deaths. The chance of an individual developing cancer depends on both genetic (inherited) and non-genetic (environmental) factors.

Alternative Treatment and dermatologic Therapy

The field of alternative medicine in Dermatology is increasing in popularity among dermatologists in the United States, particularly among the patients. Alternative medicine largely remains a frowned upon fringe field in medicine. Chronic skin conditions mostly aren’t curable, but they can be avoided or managed using drugs and by paying close attention to your lifestyle. Mohs micrographic surgery includes expelling a skin tumor one layer at any given moment and analyzing these layers under a magnifying lens quickly after they are evacuated. Dermatological Diagnosis and Diagnostics

Diagnosis is the identification of a condition or disease, suffering a patient, diagnosed by systematic analysis of the background history and further investigation of the assumed or probable causes. Effective prognosis is not possible without effective diagnosis. There are various diagnostic tests that can be performed "in house" by veterinarians to help with everyday dermatological cases.  A dull scalpel blade or similar instrument is moistened with mineral oil and used to scrape away some of the epidermis, in which may reside a number of different parasites. A trichogram is used to visualize the hair for evidence of pruritus (self- inflicted alopecia), dermatophytosis, endocrine alopecia, pigmentation defects, and growth phase. For Allergy Testing Atopic Dermatitis – Intradermal testing (IDT, IDST) and aeroallergen-specific IgE serum testing (ASIST, in vitro testing) are considered important tests for the demonstration of IgE-mediated hypersensitivity in atopic dogs.
